Leaving Xanga

Hello guys,

Well, this is my last entry in my xanga site, i'm moving over to MySpace.com.  its way cooler over there, and the things you have to pay for over here, well, its free over there!! plus its user friendly, you can add music, music video's, video clips, and a whole lot more!.  And hey, lets just face it, MySpace is just wayyy cooler than Xanga! So for all you Xangamaniacs out there, i'm sorry if i have offended you...but its a free country, i defend my rights to freedom of speech! hehe, just kidding, see ya on the flip side of things!!! come visit my site at www.myspace.com/sonnespirit

Things don't always happen the way you want them to!

-------Quick little update-------

Well, i'm not going to Las Vegas anymore, the trip was canceled due to the fact that higher supervision thinks we need to concentrate on these upcoming excercises, instead of goofing off in Vegas!! so scratch one bogy, and its back to the drawing board for us!!  Well, thats all i've got right now, umm....if i think of anything between now and the time i actually do update this, i'll keep ya posted!!  laterz

Aight, here we go, new entry, its been a LOOONG while!!  You'd think i'd update this thing daily since i work from 2230 (thats 10:30pm for non euro / military people) to 0730 ( i think you can figure this one out! =) so here goes!!

When i last updated this, it was beginning of December. Ok kids, here's what has happened.  December, my dad came for christmas, had an awesome time with him, and new years my brother in law came, so we had somewhat a family reunion.  Anyway, christmas was awesome, got lots of cool things, including a really cool jacket from my wife, Aeropostale!! I have to say, she knows what i like!!  WEll, new years, Becky got sick, i had to take my dad to the airport at 3 am on Jan 1st, never doing that again! and the whole time, the airline had lost my brother in laws baggage from when he came. So i have one sick wife, a brother in law with only the clothes on his back to his name, and a father to take to the aiport! Lets just say for next year, i'm taking leave and taking Becky into the mountains, and going on a snowboarding / skiing trip!  Next year it will be just us!!  So, that sums up December!  Onward to January!!! Ok, here's where it gets kinda funky, so just stick with me, and we'll all come out alive! So, in January, Pope AFB has what we call an ORI (Operations Readiness Inspection)  This is the mother of all inspections, the gold medal in the olympics! I'll spare you the gruesome details as to what happened, but nevertheless, we failed it!  But it was a good fail, because the inspectors had to really dig deep to find something wrong with our jets!!!! But its still a fail, so we're going to do more battle exercises until we pass the silly thing!! haha.  But I got to do the whole G.I. Joe thing.  Dress up in all my field gear, helmet, web belts, weapon sling, the whole 9!! It was awesome!!!!  So now we move into february!! 19 more days till i'll be chillin in LAS VEGAS!!!!  A small band of us will be deployed to Vegas for 5 days while our jets do real weapons training!  Can't wait, see the sites, the lights and the Casino's... For all of you now wondering if i have turned from my christian ways and turned to full time sinner, you're deadly wrong!! I will enjoy being in a place i have never been to before!  Even though the place is called Sin City! So yea, i'm looking forward to it!!!

On to other news, Becky and i now own an Ashley, black leather couch!! Talk about comfortable!!!! Holy cow!!!! I love the thing!!!  We will soon be buying the matching love seat! then all we need is night stands for the sides of our bed, and we'll be pretty much set as far as getting our home furnished! After that, its just detailing it out!! Kinda like my car! I bought a yellow underbody kit for '04 Honda civic.  Can't wait to put it on!!!

Military news- Some of you are wondering if i'm still in the military.  Yes, i signed up for 6 years, i plan on making this my lifetime career!  Hope to retire at age 50 with 30 years of service.  I'm currently the rank of Airman 1st Class (aka A1C - E-3)  But i am up for promotion in either May, if i make Below the Zone Airman (6 months ahead of scheduel), or i originally get promoted in November!  Once promoted, i will hold the rank of Senior Airman (aka SrA - E-4).   I hope to make that the last rank i hold in the Enlisted Corps, and join up with the Officer Corps.  My ultimate dream is to be a fighter pilot, but hey, if God doesn't want me waging war in the skies, then so be it, he'll use me as a ground troop somewhere, i'm sure!  If you're interested in joining the military, or just have any questions as to what really goes on in the military (i.e. heard a rumor), gimme a shout! Anyway, thats all for now, its 4 am, and i'm about to go home early, because we're not doing anything at all at this time!!!  Catch y'all on the flip side of things, hope all is well with you and yours! Take care, and remember to think positive thoughts when in tough situations!! Peace out!

P.S.  We no longer have Colby, we had to give him back to the humane society, he was too destructive for our little appartment!

The Chronicles of Life and Death

Ok kids, so its been what... 9 days since my last update? Cool, i think its time for another update!  In this week...We got a new dog! Colby is his name, we adopted him from a local shelter, he is part Lab, part German Shepherd, and part Chow Chow! Loves to play, heard Jack and Becky around, and will growl at any stranger! At least i know Becky will be safe at night, since i work so late!  Lets me see, in other news, things at work have calmed down a whole lot! So now its not as stressful, nor am i getting home at ungodly hours! I was randomly chosen for a Drug test yesterday, that was fun, made me late for work, but i gave them a call on my way to there, so at i wasn't counted as late! ....I've picked up my Good Charlotte CD's again, i've forgotten how good they are! I'm looking forward to their new album coming out in 2006.  Interested in hearing more about the band, go to www.goodcharlotte.com.  Apparently some good stuff is going to be coming out! I'm hoping to catch them on tour, they came to Charlotte last year for their Chronicles of Life and Death Tour, but i had to miss it because of my shift change!  I found out that there are more chickens than humans on the planet, so i hope y'all love chicken, cause they aren't going to be extinct any time soon!! haha  We went down to Tampa, to visit Becky's parents, over Thanksgiving weekend, had a blast down there.  It felt wierd when i got back to NC though...Mr. Chase, Brandon and I practiced our golf swings, Brandon taught me to do this little bunny hop looking thing before you swing, to set your balance.  Believe it or not, it really works!! I tried one way not hopping, then the other hopping, and i totaly missed my swing when i didn't hop! So yea, if you're ever out at the driving range, do a little bunny hop before swinging to get your balance, then watch the best shot you'll ever do!   On other notes, My father is coming for Christmas, i'm so excited about that! Last time i saw him was in September, when he came back from France to attend Becky and my wedding!  But he is back in the states for good now, so having my dad in the same country now feels great! Cause i can call him up whenever i want! and i love the man to death, so yea we do alot of talking!!  Ok kids, time for me to sign off, i'm about reaady to blow this joint, and go home! Take it easy, and i'll update next week! Until then, don't do anything i would do!!  Your mom might just flip out!

Peace!!
Jonesy!

Well, Becky's job starts tomorrow...Meaning i won't get to see her as much as i used to, except on the weekends...At least we have Thanksgiving together.  We'll be in Tampa for thanksgiving, at her parents house!  It will be nice to get away from Pope AFB, and have a change of scenery...Even though it is a 10 hour drive roughly...Oh well, it will be fun...I made a road trip from here to Kansas and back again in a car, and it took roughly 20 hours! But like, who cares!!!?? I'm an MK! Its what i do! I have to move around, see the world, and heck, USA is so big, i plan on seeing alot of it, and since i'm a government employee, i plan on letting the government pay for it all! With my short term missions and all.  I've already been to Airzona and loved it! I wouldn't mind going back there to live! i thnk it would be rather cool!! Living around Phoenix or Tuscan!  Well...that is yet to come! Anyway, its late, and i must sign off!!  Laterz! Thanks for reading, tune in next time!
